Free Nurse Clinics

In order to fulfil our promise of a super service, we offer a number of free clinics for the animals that we look after. From daily health concerns such as dental care and obesity to more complex care such as post-operation checks, we have got all areas covered.

These check-ups are an addition to our standard treatments such as microchipping and vaccinations.

Free Nurse Clinics

Post Op Checks

Anyone who has an operation needs an extra eye watching over them in the days following the procedure. So, at White Horse, we like to see our recovering patients on a regular basis. This enables us to keep a check on their progress and catch any infections that may be lingering. It is important to monitor whether they are making a good recovery from the anaesthetic as well as checking their appetite as they need nutrients to recuperate. It also gives you the opportunity to discuss anything that may be bothering you.

Weight Clinics

Dramatic changes in weight can be a symptom of an illness, so our free weight clinics not only help us and you to keep an eye on your pet's weight, but they also make sure that there isn't a more serious problem. If you have a question about your pet's diet, make an appointment to chat to us.

Senior Pet Clinics

When cats and dogs reach around 8 to 9 years old, they are classified as seniors and it is vital that they receive the right care for their age, from this point onwards. We fully understand how concerning it can be for owners when their pets begin to show signs of old age but our Senior Pet Clinics can really help. It means that we can catch diseases that are more common in older pets as soon as symptoms start to show and put together a treatment plan. It also means you can have the opportunity to chat through any welfare concerns you have for your beloved pet.

Dental Clinics

Our dental clinics enable us to keep a good eye on your pet's teeth, meaning we can make an early diagnosis if there is a problem such as gum disease. After all, keeping your pet's teeth healthy is just as important as keeping your own free from decay. Contact us to find out how dogs over 3 years of age and cats over 5 can benefit from our free dental clinics.

Diabetic Clinics

Having a pet diagnosed with diabetes can be a distressing time, but our diabetic clinics, which are run every Thursday and Friday, can really help by giving advice on how to best control the disease and allowing you to get answers to any questions that you may have.

Worming and flea treatment

At White Horse, we can give you advice and treatments about keeping worms and fleas at bay. Contact us so we can book an appointment for your pet and send the little pests on their way.

Juvenile clinics

Our juvenile clinics are very popular as we all know little ones need to have a bit more care. As well as having 6 monthly check-ups to monitor their development, such as teeth and weight, the clinics also give you the chance to ask any questions and get reassurance that you are doing everything you can to help them progress.

Fireworks

Nowadays, fireworks aren't just let off on Bonfire Night in November but all year round for a number of different celebrations. We fully understand how difficult it can be to keep pets, particularly dogs, calm during fireworks, which is why our nurses are able to help with a number of different calming techniques. Give us a call today and see how we can help.
